Our history

The head of the company is Jožko Strosar, an independent entrepreneur, director, and owner of the company. As woodworking has been a family business for four generations, he started to learn about it at a very young age. In the beginning, he learned from his parents and grandparents, in 1984 he graduated from the School of Carpentry in Nova Gorica and later he gained experience in the local carpentry workshops.

In 1986, he decided to start his own part-time business and in 1989, he obtained the status of a sole trader. His main goal was to continue the family tradition as well as to add value to the wood from the nearby Trnovo Forest.

In the beginning, the activities took place in a small workshop attached to the family house where Jožko produced wooden accessories and furniture to order, mainly for retail customers.
With time, the business spread, and in 1998, he hired his first employee. His vision to have a production line to manufacture certain types of products and components came true thanks to his hard and devoted work. Until 2008, all the activities took place in the family workshop.

In 2009, the company purchased the premises of the former wood processing plant Meblo Elasta plc. in the locality of Trnovo pri Novi Gorici. The company’s activities have been taking place in the same location, which includes 1100 m₂ of production area and 1500m₂ of covered storage area, ever since.
In 2013, the company changed its program and started to accept larger orders from both domestic and foreign companies. Since then, we mainly manufacture larger batches of various components for doors and windows.

Our main products nowadays are furniture legs, tables and benches, chairs, chopping boards, decorative battens, knife stands, wooden packaging for company needs, and wooden pellets. We also offer cutting and working on various parts of furniture.

In 2016, the increasing growth of the company started. At present, there are 10 full-time employees in the company. As both, the scale of production and the number of employees have been growing, further investments into a covered area for the storage of dry wood is inevitable.
Jožko Strosar has proved to be a good organizer and director. Through investments and innovations, the company has been improving the quality of its products as well as its production process and workflow optimization.

Our goal is to become one of the lead ecologically oriented and environmentally friendly businesses in the Goriška region, with good quality products. As Mr. Strosar would put it: high quality is the best publicity.
